Colonel Rocco P. Urella
Rocco P. Urella was born in Mt. Carmel, Northumberland County Pennsylvania on February 10, 1918.

Urella Enlisted with the Pennsylvania Motor Police on Janauary 1, 1938, and trained at the Myerstown Training School.

One of Urella's most important policy changes was his decision to hire female troopers.


It was during Urella's tenure that the blue and gold patrol cars color scheme was adopted.
