H. Quarles was appointed superintendent on April 13 1936, he was a former assistant
commander of the Valley Forge Military Academy. On February 28, 1937, the year scarcely gotten underway when Quarles resigned his top Patrol post. The merger of the State Highway Patrol and State Police soon followed. |
