Wilson Purdy was born in Orleans, Michigan on April 24, 1919. His earlier
experiences include being an Army provost marshal, FBI agent and police chief. In 1963, Purdy introduced a five-day work week for the first time in State Police History. Purdy also for the first time in State Police history allowed married men to apply for cadet training. |
