Gerald McCartney was born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County Pennsylvania on March 31,
1908. He enlisted in into the constabulary on February 31, 1931. Because of his exceptional skill in horsemanship, he was picked as a member of the prestigious rodeo stunt-riding team. McCartney changed the name from "Pennsylvania State Police Training School" to "Pennsylvania State Police Academy". |
