The Reading Corner

This exhibit consists of a historical library of noteable Pennsylvania State Police books an publishings.

Included is a high back desk chair, (Donated by Col. Frank McCartney), of the type once used by Col. John C. Groome the first Superintendent of the Pennsylvania State Police.
A portrait of Col. Groome and his wife are positioned above the desk.

  
John C. Groome was 43 when he took on his State Police assignment and it became a distinguished career spanning some fifteen years. Pictured above with his wife, Agnes Price Roberts, of Philadelphia. (Currently on exhibit at PSP-HEMC)   More about Groome
