The Reading Corner

This exhibit consists of a historical library of notable Pennsylvania State Police books and publishings.

Included is a high back desk chair, (Donated by Col. Frank McCartney), of the type once used by Col. John C. Groome the first Superintendent of the Pennsylvania State Police.

John C. Groome was 43 when he took on his State Police assignment and it became a distinguished career spanning some fifteen years. Pictured above with his wife, Agnes Price Roberts, of Philadelphia.
