Historical Note: The
first Pennsylvania State Police Training School was located in Newville and operated from
1921 to 1923. Experienced commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers were
assigned to the teaching staff. In 1924, the program was reorganized and the Training
School was transferred to a location south of Hershey.
